WASSU GAMBIA KAFO (WGK) is a Non-Governmental Organization based in The Gambia that aims to promote development and cooperation in sexual and reproductive health and rights, through research and knowledge transfer, especially to promote gender equality and prevention of harmful traditional practices.

Practical cases in addressing FGM
With the publication of this applied guide, we wish to complement training for professionals and guarantee more respectful, holistic and coordinated approaches, while promoting preventive interventions and informed support for families, women and girls.
This guide has been developed with the purpose of expanding the materials available for primary care professionals in health, social services, in the field of education and also communication, to allow them to focus both on the practical action of prevention and in situations of risk or attention to FGM
